Paços is a parish located in the municipality of Sabrosa, in the region of Vila Real. This village is surrounded by stunning countryside, vineyards and olive groves.

Paços is known for its historical heritage. We can find some good examples of manor houses and manor houses, of which the House of Afonso Botelho, a pioneer in Brazil, stands out, which has a coat of arms and an original architecture. There are also the Casa das Quintãs, a large manor house with a coat of arms and chapel, the Casa dos Morgados de Paços, with a coat of arms and dating from the XVI century. XVIII and the Casa Serôdio, in Fermentões, also emblazoned.

There are, however, in this parish, much older and less visible monuments but equally important such as the Mamoas das Planeas da Mantelinha (S. Domingos de Vilela) and Meieira that date back to the Neolithic and the Castle or Castro de S. Martinho located in Sabica that was built in the Iron Age, but of which no traces remain.

Additionally, the village is surrounded by beautiful scenery, allowing visitors to enjoy hiking and outdoor strolls.

It is also possible to taste the local cuisine, with emphasis on the wines produced in the Douro region and the traditional dishes of Trás-os-Montes cuisine.
